The article is devoted to the study of the role of educational practice in the formation of social interaction skills among international first-year students in the process of their adaptation to a new socio-cultural context. In the context of globalization and increasing student
flows at the international level, the problem of effective integration of foreigners into the educational environment is becoming particularly relevant. The paper analyzes the main factors contributing to the successful adaptation of international students, as well as identifies effective
methods and strategies for developing the social skills necessary for comfortable interaction with both teachers and local students. The authors explore various approaches to the organization of social interaction practices, including group projects, role-playing games and volunteer initiatives, as well as their impact on the formation of interpersonal relationships and cultural adaptation. The results of the study confirm that active forms of joint activity contribute to reducing stress and anxiety among foreign students, increase their level of engagement and promote the establishment of trusting relationships in a new social environment. The presented research goes beyond the traditional approach to studying the adaptation of international students, which is often limited to analyzing language barriers or academic difficulties. His scientific novelty lies in a holistic and systematic consideration of the practice of developing social interaction skills as a key mechanism not only for social, but also for deep cultural and spiritual integration. The practical novelty of the research is that it provides a specific, reproducible
model of effective adaptation. The authors do not just state the importance of social activity, but identify the most effective methods – group projects, role–playing games, volunteer initiatives – and demonstrate their direct impact on increasing engagement and developing empathy. The data obtained allows us to build a practice-oriented program for teachers and supervisors aimed at creating a supportive educational environment.
